David Nick Martinez in Hospital

David Martinez is in Joe DiMaggio Childrens hospital in Hollywood since last Wednesday.  David has the Flu and a staph infection and is in the Intensive Care Unit.

David says he probably will not be back at Lyons Creek Middle School for the rest of the year.

David played for the Tamarac Cougars unlimited football team last year.  Most recently he played in the Dunk Basketball travel league.

I’m writing this note with heavy heart, Daniel Mann a 140′s superbowl team player and his Aunt Jackie (team Mom) were in a car accident.   Daniel was a player on the Eagles 140 pound team, his Aunt Jackie (who he lived with) was the 140′s team mom, his sister Marla and little brother Ryan were the water people on the field every week last year.    Daniel came over our house Friday night to borrow Sal’s Ipod head phones for the ride to New York for a relatives graduation.  They didn’t complete the journey.   Sal received a call today from Daniel. They made it to South Carolina were the accident occured.  Daniel was thrown from the vehicle, then the SUV rolled over him.  He has a broken eye socket, two broken legs, and a broken hand.  Daniel, his sister and little brother are still in the hospital in South Carolina.  His aunt Jackie and her mother Pat died in the accdent.    Daniel’s Mother and Father are now at the hospital with them.    We sent our best wishes and prayers.   The Bailen Family
